Fourteen-year-old Sarika Singh took Aberdare Girls' School, South Wales, to court for discrimination when she was excluded for breaking its "no jewellery" rule by refusing to take off a religious bangle. She says it is pivotal to her Sikh faith.
Her lawyers argued that the Kara was as important to her as it was to England spin bowler Monty Panesar, who has been pictured wearing the bangle.
