Let us know what foods turn you off and see the list of Britain's most hated nibbles
According to a poll carried out of 4,903 people by food magazine Olive, tripe is now Britain's most detested food. Made from the inside of a cow's stomach, it is commonly cooked and served up with onions and was once a firm favourite on the British dining table.
The traditional East End favourite, jellied eels, came second on the culinary black-list, followed by deep fried Mars bars in third place.
Pickled foods also seem to be suffering a popularity slump with beetroot in vinegar, pickled egg and cockles in vinegar all appearing in the "most hated'' top 20.
Sweet dishes which have fallen out of favour were tapioca, semolina and banana custard.
Olive magazine editor Christine Hayes said, "British cuisine has finally earned some well-deserved respect in the culinary world but there are some dishes, no matter how classic or traditional, which are unlikely to pass your lips".
